This hollow form was created on commission for a friend who had cut this tree down and wanted a keepsake from it.

The tree originally stood in the yard of his mother-in-law and his daughters grew up playing on this tree. They called it Grandmother’s willow tree. He gave me the wood and asked for two pieces for his girls.

This piece was my first attempt at a true hollow form. It is approximately 10″ tall and 8″ in diameter. 

Jen says this is my best piece so far.
